(More customer reviews)I got this unit to backup a Linksys Vonage router I have that is close to 5 years old. I contacted Vonage and got it working there.
While it worked well with for the most part with Vonage, it slowed down my DSL connection to the point sites like YouTube were a nightmare to watch. Even audio teleclasses were cutting out because of the internet slowdown. It could be the Motorola QOS settings. I am not sure. I have Vonage set mid-range for voice quality.
If you just want a cheap, wired router and not use for the internet, this will work OK.
Be careful of purchasing these used devices to work on Vonage itself. If someone who still has active service and has activated it on their own account sells the device, it cannot be re-registered. Vonage will not remove a MAC address once they have it unless and until you stop their service.
My own experience with Vonage has been very good over the 5 years I have used their VOIP.
