If you are considering an investment into a long-distance WiFi network link, do yourself a huge favor: build it with Ubiquity radios. It's not just that they work well -- they definitely do, it's also their full-featured on-board configuration/diagnostic facility, and even more, the extensive documentation Ubiquity has provided. The entire industry could/should take a lesson from Ubiquity: the quality of tech product support we have all come to expect is abysmal; Ubiquity does it right!
If I were making a Mastercard ad, it would go like this:
----
Trite, informationless, one-line descriptions, written by someone for whom English was not a first language: included in cost of ordinary hardware.
Rich, descriptive paragraphs, complete with pros, cons and use-case scenarios for each option and setting, as provided by Ubiquity: priceless!
----
And a competitive price point seals the deal. The fact that Bullet2HP does not include a built-in antenna is, in practice, an asset -- too often built-in antennas are a woefully inadequate, and thus, a waste. (From my experience, a $20 12 dBi panel antenna runs rings around a competitor's built-in 10 dBi.) Choosing the right antenna for your application gives you a much better value.
I wish I had started out with Bullet2HP's when my current project began, it would've saved me immeasurable time and considerable expense. That project, for those who might be interested, connects a rural area to a broadband connection 3 miles away, and makes it WiFi-available to those within a half-mile radius. Bullet2HP brings the Internet to the mountains!
