(More customer reviews)For the past so many years, Comcast was merrily collecting $5 a month for a model lease and I never even realized that I could buy one instead. Called them about some account changes and that's when the rep inadvertently mentioned that I could use my own modem. Bought it the same day, plugged it in and activated it, works like a charm. Later Comcast!
