(More customer reviews)After reading reviews on a lot of USB wireless adapters, I came away with the idea that quality control is a real issue. No matter what brand you buy, they all have issues. I've had generally good luck with Belkin stuff, so I bought one of these to hook my HP Desktop with XP SP3 to my Palm Pixie Hotspot. Because of all the horror stories I've read, I did an image backup of my system first, but I didn't need it. I followed the directions by letting the CD do its install, then plugged in the wireless adapter when prompted. Not only did it work without a hitch, but it is slightly faster than my HP Elitebook's built-in wireless. I haven't really pushed the distance aspect yet, as my Hotspot is fairly close by. I just leave it plugged in, and connect off the bottom task bar whenever I have a need for fast Internet. They make fancier, but for what I was looking for, it works great. I might need faster when 4G comes out, but with 3G, it's simple, fast, and easy.

(More customer reviews)August 11: I bought this router from Walmart and proved a bad buy. Although installation is easy, but the router drops signal 5-6 times per day. Whenever It drops signal, I have to unplug it, wait for 10-15 seconds, then plug it again with power supply. Not funny!November, 02, 2010: Belkin customer service has spent around 30-45 minutes to upgrade firmware for this router. Their latest firmware has actually solved the frequent signal dropping problems and for the last couple of weeks I have not been experiencing any signal drop. I also get 150 mbps data transfer speed for laptop and 135 mbps for desktop. It also covers entirely my one bedroom apartment( 480 sq. feet). Right now, I am satisfied with this product and getting good value for my money.
I sincerely suggest others to buy it. I give this product 4 star.

Belkin Wireless 150N Router (F6D4230-4) Review

(More customer reviews)I needed to replace my d-link wireless router after 7 years of admirable service and I noticed this Belkin router was on the cheap. Cheap doesn't necessarily mean good in this case though. This Belkin router drops the Internet connection every 10-20 minutes even though the cable modem is always working properly. After 4 support calls with Belkin and 2 with my cable provider, I rebooted the modem/router (multiple times), reinstalled the firmware, disabled all security, cloned MAC addresses, performed an exorcism (j/k) and I still couldn't resolve the problem. Both Belkin and my cable provider mentioned there's nothing else we could do, so time to shop for another router...
